Monday Morning Orchid In New Port Richey, FL

 

I looked out my kitchen window this morning and guess what awaited me.  We have been having crazy weather: monsoon rain, scary winds, and cold temps so I didn't expect to see any flowers much less an orchid.

We keep our orchids outside; when it's really cold (freezing temps) we bring them into the garage but if it in the 30's and above freezing, Craig leaves them outside. I was very surprised to wake up to this lovely smiling at me.

Toni, that would be a nice surprise to wake up to. It seems that the weather patterns all over the Nation are crazy.  It might confuse us but it won't nature. Nature will do what it does.

Toni, nice surprise. I know there are warm and cold weather orchids, but a little surprised to hear you leave them out when it's in the 30's.
