The Last Snow of the Winter ... 4-6 Inches in OC/NJ

It isn't the most important aspect that we talk about, but it does have some relationship with selling "shore property" with potential buyers from about one-to-four hours away.  It would appear that another slow weekend is ahead for us.  I did an "open house" last Saturday for three plus hours without anyone coming ... but I did knock out a good bit of paper work during that time.

My "spring buying period" time frame (which obviously hasn't arrived as yet) is a time for Saturday and Sunday open houses (which I do every week unless I have customers or clients arriving to check out real estate.  I will continue that arrangement, as I have for almost 20 years, into mid-June just before the rental season get moving.

One of the great advantages is to have a sale property with owners who don't rent (and particularly if the property is fairly close to the beach) so you can continue with open houses into the summer attracting potential buyers on their way to the beach.  The key is to catch them going to the beach ... and be closing the open house before they might want to get into the property on the way back from the beach ... that represents an extensive clean-up.

So I will welcome the "last snow of the winter season" as long as it doesn't impact Atlantic City Restaurant Week as we plan to have a foursome heading to the Knife & Fork Inn in AC this evening plus I have my scheduled 1.5 hour tennis match (indoors, of course) this afternoon.

Wish me luck ... in shoveling the snow a couple of times today, in carrying through with an upset in our doubles tennis match, and having a lovely dinner with it snowing outside knowing that my friends 4-wheel drive will get us back to Ocean City.  Now that's also part of the "living style" in a resort market during the winter months!!!

The spring buying period will come soon enough!  And with the delayed weather, I'm sure it'll come in with a vengance just like last year.  Here's to your success!!
