100 Day Checkup, and April SEO Super Charge Challenge
We judge our presidents on how they are doing in the first 100 days for a reason.
It is a good round number that lands nearly a quarter of the way into the first year of the first term, enough time to get a good start, and yet early enough in the term to make necessary adjustments where needed without wasting time in areas that are a poor investment of our energy.
Wise business people also use this important measure to do a checkup and make adjustments where needed.
In this month’s challenge this will be the only requirement for a focused blog post.
To write a post on how you are doing, how you are keeping up with your 2015 Goals, and where you need to make adjustments.
The rest of the challenge is rather simple, and it will result in a boost in your SEO, if you are not already doing so.
- Write Something Every Day!
- We are not asking for a novel, just something to let your readers know that it is worth clicking on your name everyday.
-
AR asks you to write at least 50 words for a blog post to count, so I will too.
- These 50 words can be about just about anything, but it would be best if it was something interesting.
-
Put a picture in it too, everyone wants to see a bit of eye candy, and your readers do to.
- Don’t just post a picture and your signature line, tell us something about it, how it makes you feel, what it is, etc.
- Make it something of yours, not a list of quotes, not a copy of something that was written by KCM or someone else, save those for the other 3 posts that you should be writing every week. (One per day for the challenge, plus 3 more to make up the AR recommended 10 per week.)
-
There are more things to write about and more things that your friends want to read about than you can possibly write about in a month.
-
For example, write a bit about each of the neighborhoods that you work in, and those neighborhoods that you would like to work in.
- Once the post is out there the public will recognize you as the authority in this neighborhood since your competitors failed to write something up.
- Write about the events that are important to the people in your neighborhoods, Google loves these and so do your future clients.
- Tell us about how you are feeling about a local, national, world, or professional topic.
-
For example, write a bit about each of the neighborhoods that you work in, and those neighborhoods that you would like to work in.
- I could go on and on here, but suffice to say we all have plenty to write about, just keep in mind what Socrates had to say about the art of brevity, and what Bob has to say about this too, “Active Rain readers like it when you keep it short”, this way you will not wear your self or your readers out.
Yes, I know a bunch of you are already starting to write about how busy you are and many have already skipped this part.
Keep in mind we all are, I have been working 18 hours a day on a project in another state along with maintaining business back home since the beginning of the year, and so far I have not missed a beat on AR, 10 posts per week, 7 reblogs per week, 150+ comments per week, and a few more things.
And much of this has been done in the wilderness on my cell phone inside a sleeping bag at 30 below zero.
You can do it too, you just have to believe that it is possible, push past the difficulty and your seo and future business will thank you.
Participate in this Challenge, post a blog EVERY DAY, develop a great habit, collect some google juice, and not only will you generate a truckload of regular AR Points but our good friend Kerrie La Guardia will also give you an extra truckload of points.
3000 Bonus Points, that translates into an extra 100 points every day, just for stopping by to share a bit with your friends and the public.
When you write your 100 day checkup post, please honor us with the pleasure of seeing a link to it in the comments below.
At the end of the month, stop by again, fill out the form and leave a comment to let us all know how much you enjoyed the challege, the super charge in your seo, and the additional comments from your friends at Active Rain.
