At the end of an alley, in downtown Chicago, above a rusty factory back-door, was a large well-constructed spider web. It appeared to be large enough that the spider (who was notably absent) must have been the size of hubcap from a Studebaker (look it up).
In the web, beautifully crafted, was a message... clearly spelled out in large capital letters... a little wavy, but very clearly said: "SOME HORSE".
Yep, obviously lauding American Pharoah, in his successful running of the Belmont Stakes, and the winning of the highly sought after Triple Crown, which had gone un-won (is that a real word) for 37 years! What it was doing at the end of a dark, dank Chicago alley, is anyone's guess.
It's been 37 years since any horse had won the triple crown, so this is truly a magical feat for a special equine.
I'm sure, now that American Pharoah has won the triple crown, they must have great plans to put him out to stud. Ahh, the life of a champion horse... to romp in fields of Kentucky bluegrass, and have the company of as many lady-horses as he can handle.
Honk! Honk!
Oh, sorry... I have to move out of the way of this large truck, driven by a very short driver, pulling up to the factory door.
