There were 19 homes sold in Riverwood as recorded by the Triangle Multiple Listing Service for the months of April and May 2015. The homes ranged in price from $136,900 for a three bedroom two bath 1300 square foot detached cottage style home up to $329,00 for a five bedroom three bath 3500 square foot new home built in 2014. Eight of the homes sold were new construction, all detached single family homes from 1661 square feet up to 3564 square feet. Three, four and five bedroom homes that sold for between $178,000 to$329,000. The average price per square foot of new homes sold in Riverwood Athletic Club in April and May 2015 was around $103 with a low of $92.00 and a high of $110. The homes were on the market for between 37 and 237 days.

The resales that sold in Riverwood averaged around $98 a square foot and were on the market for an average of only 26 days, there are 13 resales currently under contract and eight homes active starting at $195,900. There are 13 new homes under contract and 10 for sale at time of writing.

Riverwood Athletic Club is a popular neighborhood with a mixture of retail, schools, apartments, townhomes, and single family homes in multiple price points. It is located just over the Wake County line in Johnston County and is in the town of Clayton. Riverwood Athletic Club is a short drive to Downtown Raleigh where there are lots of exciting new restaurants opening. Festivals, museums, parks and walking trails are some of the many things to do in Raleigh, in fact you can now ride your bike directly from an access point in Riverwood along the Neuse River into Raleigh and all the way to Falls Lake.

There are some great new restaurants, a new wine store and two craft breweries in Clayton and speciality smaller retail stores in the downtown district and along Route 70. The Clayton Center in the former high school brings entertainment to the town with musical acts and performances. Not to far is the Triangle Town Center, North Hills, and the outlets at Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield. The White Oak Shopping Center in Garner is seeing huge growth with additional parcels of land becoming home to national stores like the massive Cabela’s hunting, and fishing and all things outdoors. Burlington Coat Factory is now at White Oak soon to be joined by an ALDI supermarket. White Oak is also home to the 14 screen Regal Cinema
