Roasting Ears of Corn Festival Allentown PAThis weekend August 22-23, 2015 is the 35th Annual Roasting Ears of Corn Festival at the Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown, PA.  The weather should be wonderful for this outdoor event that includes American Indian singing, drumming, dancing, food and various demonstrations and displays of artifacts related to the Native American Culture.

This is a festival for all ages with a children's craft area, crafts and jewelry on display and for sale, and live performances of various people and groups from around the country and Canada.

We have been to this festival a few times and enjoy the performances of adults and children in their beautiful Native American costumes.

What a neat cultural experience, Gloria. I would love to go to this event. Load up on some of that great corn while you are there.

Chris and Dick Dovorany yes more than one ear is best!!

Rosemarie Heindel yes it is unusual and not the usual offerings, which makes it such a wonderful gathering.

Sharon Parisi we are lucky to have this in our area.  I enjoy the exposure to Native American events.

Thanks all for stopping by!

Hi Gloria Todor

This sounds like such a fun event. I love roasted corn too so it would be something I might like to attend. I come to Philadelphia twice a year and  came from the Art Festival in May 2015. Maybe next year I will come in August. I am fastinated by the Indian Cultural Events. Such a good learning experience for the younger generations too.
