New Fairfield Land TrustOn August 29. 2015 the New Fairfield Land Trust held a fund-raiser in the form of an art show. The beautiful paintings and photographs were presented by local artists. The Trust also introduced its new “headquarters”, a lovely shack at the Komlo Preserve.

 In the seventeen years since its inception, the New Fairfield Land Trust has managed to preserve a number of different areas that will now remain in their natural beauty.

The New Fairfield Land Trust publishes a Green Ways Newsletter, promotes information regarding local vegetation (e.g. invasive plants), tick awareness, organizes public events such as hikes or bird-watching and engages in other activities intended to preserve and safeguard our natural resources. 
 
You can read more on the New Fairfield Land Trust website and sign up for a new e-newsletter by providing your email. The membership drive is also underway. You can join as an individual for as little as $20.00; as a family for $35.00 and as a business for $65.00. There are higher levels of support as well and any donations are welcome. 
 
Let’s keep our open spaces for generations to come! Support the New Fairfield Land Trust - they call it “preserving our future”.
