I am not writing this for fun or for some sort of exercise. I am writing because my heart is bleeding... I am writing because I am an American.
We got an incapable President, and not only did not impeach him, but gave him the second opportunity to keep steering the nation.
The funny part is that we, Americans, say “let him finish the term, and then whoever comes would fix it”. The problem is that nation is not in the vacuum. There is the world around, and 99% or so of Americans are oblivious to this dynamics.
The World is not waiting for us for wise up, to wake up, to lead. the World is not waiting for Obama to finish his term.
We created the vacuum of power in the world and this hiccup will follow us for many years ahead and could bring many wars ahead, and even the demise of what once was the superpower called The United States of America. Well, this is what Obama actually wanted, so for him this would be exactly the planned result.
Not for the rest of us.
In 1991 the big foe of the United States – Soviet Union disintegrated. The Cold War and the threat of a III World War was over… until 2014-2015.
Open your ears. IT IS BACK.
You do not see it yet the way you saw Soviet Union, but it is back and it is as much danger today as was once the Soviet Union.
The Crimea taken while our President had his head in the sand, was just a probe. Then came Ukraine. And we are sitting and not doing much. Yes, the President got the approval of the Congress, but never did anything.
And Putin went into Syria… And now there is a joint headquarters of Iran, Syria and Russia in Baghdad…
And now he forced Obama to talk to him… And, of course, it will be about the security, where Russia will be playing a major-major role.
Hitler is, probably, turning in his grave from jealousy.
All because we created the vacuum.
Reagan fought to eliminate the threat to America’s existence. Our sitting President brought it back. And now he can’t do anything about it. Russia is unbelievably stronger today than it was when this Head-in-the-Sand President took office.
Not as much economically, but greatly morally (Russia never had that much hatred towards America since the Iron Curtains times, but even then it was not even close). They have the iron will, and this is what we are missing altogether.
The Soviet Union is back… well its reincarnation.
I am not going to say “wake up” to our President. It is worthless. But as a country we need to wake up to the threat of Russia, to the threat of Iran…
Presidents come and go, but why would we allow America to go?
