Peace and Contentment Trump Happiness

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

I just realized I put the word trump into the heading of my blog, and I can't seem to avoid that ugly word no matter where I go, LOL. I'm writing today about being content, at peace with the world and within yourself, and being able to sleep well at night because your life is basically stress free.

Does this describe many of you? Maybe not. After all, some of us sell Sacramento real estate, and that can be very stressful in itself if we don't have a way to maintain our sanity. I maintain my sanity through humor. That seems to be the best way, and to let go of the the things that prevent you from obtaining it.

You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link: Happiness is Not So Much a Goal as Being at Peace.

Elizabeth, A subject worthy of writing about.  So many people do not seem to be at peace.

Judi K Barrett I am not a Christian, and I see from your blog that Christianity seems to be a big part of your life, so here I am proof that you don't need to believe in a higher power to find peace. But for those who find comfort in their religion, I am not knocking it. Whatever works. Thanks for stopping by.

Tammy Lankford Being content and at peace with everything is a difficult state to achieve but it is certainly doable. You have such a lovely life centered on your Donald and your family and your faith, and you are a beautiful person, Tammy, no wonder you feel content.

Interesting observation on the word trump! I think moving to a place/community you love has a lot to do with adding peace/happiness to your life. That's how I feel about living in my community in the North Georgia mountains. There's less stress here than in other parts of the country.

We don't have less stress in Sacramento but having an outlet helps. Like going on a hike! Or firing the source of what gives you stress, like an idiotic web designer.

Good morning Elizabeth.  I know some successful people but they are always miserable.  Give me a happy and contented person every time.

I work hard to maintain a cheerful attitude to the point where it almost comes naturally, just kidding.

That's enough excitement on the horizon to pull me through any stress anywhere.

You're getting darn cute with those title lines, Elizabeth!  I'm shocked that you didn't put "Trump" in your tags!

Being content is its own sort of happiness, I guess.  My niece spent a week with my over the summer and wondered why I was so happy.  I was stunned.  I didn't necessarily feel over the moon, but she saw me smiling, joking, and singing to the radio.  Evidently, she is surrounded by adults hanging their heads low and drudging through life.  I am content.  I love the radio and I love to sing and joke around.  There are happy moments in every day.  It's recognizing them that is so hard for folks.
