October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- not just in the US and Canada but in many other countries.
I was in the local Costco (yes it along with many, many other familiar business names can be found all over Mexico) and saw materials about breast cancer at the checkout. I picked one up and made a donation. It has the typical pink color and a ribbon is drawn on it. The back even gives information for breast self-examinations.

There is also a Male Self Breast Exam. Yes ---men can also get breast cancer.
