Not Everybody Gets into the Halloween Spirit

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

People with kids tend to celebrate Halloween more than people without kids, I supsect. And even if you don't have kids of your own, you still have nieces and nephews and maybe even your next-door neighbor kids or kids at places where you volunteer to spend time with on Halloween.

Most of us, when we reach a certain age, don't necessarily attend Halloween parties, but that doesn't mean you have to end up hungover and sleeping in the bathtub. There are other options for a party. You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link: If You're a Halloween Party Pooper, Come Sit Down Next to Me.

I don't think I'm going to have too many trick-or-treaters this year.  Recently had an "Hey you kids get off my lawn" moment that was rather intense.  I think those older kids will avoid the home.  Fine by me.

Elizabeth, these days I am definitely a Halloween pooper. Those party daze are over for me. I turn out my lights. No pumpkins on the porch. No candy to pass out. I just hunker down and wait for peace and quiet to resume.

Halloween is like no other holiday for me.  While I really enjoy the spirit the day of I try to stay inside, and away from the crowds.   Just too many things can be waiting to happen.  Mark

Good morning Elizabeth.  Never was into Halloween even when I was a youngster.  But with 13 grand-kids and 4 great ones the candy and goodies will be stored and ready for those who do celebrate the day

Elizabeth, no parties for me tonight either, love the decorations but there is no time to put up and take down, so have stopped over the years.

We chose to do a movie and dinner day and loved it. I think a new tradition has been established.

Elizabeth, this is where you and I part paths, but at least we agree on Bourbon! Although lately for personal reasons I haven't been in much of a partying mood, Halloween is actually one pseudo-holiday that I enjoy...you're welcome to the rest of them.
