Dog lovers and owners, Beware !
Hello everyone-I know we have a lot of dog lovers here on Active Rain and Deanna shared an important message that any dog owner should know. Thank you Deanna for getting the word out
I am not a veterinarian or an authority on dog health but I saw a troubling story on the local news and feel dog lovers and owners need to know this. I did not know this and would have been heart broken if this had happened to my pet and companion. After all, when you have a pet for years and years; they become a part of you and an unnatural death will rip your heart out.
According to the news story, there is an ingredient in sugar free gum, peanut butter and some other products that is deemed safe for humans but is deadly to dogs. The news report was telling the story of a two year old, "puppy" basically, who ate some sugarless gum containing this ingredient.
The ingredient is called "Xylitol". I did a Google search and found the story online so I am posting the link here for all you dog owners and lovers:

I hope this information is helpful to everyone because like me, I am sure there are a lot of dog owners out there that did not know about this. An informed public is important because it is the basis of our actions.
Though this blog is not about residential mortgages directly, it runs along a similar vein. You need to be informed and being informed can make a difference in your life decisions. I inform my clients about home mortgages, construction loans and lot loans to help them make the right decisions.
I am a dog lover but I also love my clients. I give my clients information so they can make informed mortgage decisions here in the state of Virginia. If you live in a big city like Richmond or Hampton Roads or a smaller town like Blacksburg or here in Hardy, Virginia; I am here for you, fellow Virginians.
Please contact me if you want to be informed BEFORE doing your mortgage. Like all the dog owners, I want you to know the dangers that face you ahead of time so we can avoid them and we can move forward smoothly in your purchase or refinance. After reading this, go give your canine some lovin' !
