Who rules the real estate markets?

Real Estate Agent with YourStories Realty Group MA# 9517963

47-Dudley-Newton-Sculpture-Reading-Who rules the real estate markets? This question has multiple answers.  The National Association of Realtors® is the preeminent voice in real estate in the United States.  They are the organization that provides the government with information and insight into the real estate market. No single agent, or agency has the same power. It is the power of many and it is power of professional.  Not all agents are Realtors® and Realtors® are held to a higher standard than an average sales agent.

Most consumers don't care who rules real estate, all they care about is who can sell my house for the most money in the fastest period of time with the least amount of hassle. Real estate sales is a process.  Not all sales people are trained in that process beyond the extent of putting the sign in the yard, having some flyers and listing on the MLS which in turns sends it out to the social media sites like Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com and numerous others.

47-Dudley-Newton-Solar-Cover

47-Dudley-Newton-Solar-CoverThe real estate profession is regulated by rules and promulgated forms.  It is true that you can sell your own house if you don't have a license, but you can't sell your neighbors.  The complications of title, ownership, deed registration, tax stamps and recording are numerous and easy at the same time.  What I mean to say is that any fool can do this, but it takes a professional to do it perfectly.  A perfect transaction has all sides getting what they want and all legal issues taken care of. Working without a professional is like working without a net. Anyone can throw a football but a great quaterback puts it on the money in all situations.  Real estate has all situations.

25-Stop-Ford-Norfolk-MAWhen drilling down to your neighborhood to find who rules the real estate market it is always best to speak to several agents.  It is always good to ask them specific questions about how they intend to market the property. They need to know how to price the property in such a way to attract the most amount of people from the beginning.  The person who rules your real estate world is the person who listens to your needs and wants and works professionally, diligently and proactively to get you what you deserve.  Realtors® rule the world and that is Who rules the real estate markets.

The legalities of a real estate transaction should be enough to get any individual to consult a real estate professional. Why would you go in to court without legal representation? The same goes for buying or selling a home.

Don't really chase for sale by owners much anymore. Lots of no representation Brokers out there. Sometimes works, sometimes not.

I tend to think that interest rates rule the real estate world.

There are many twists and turns, as well as legal implications in all facets of a real estate transaction.  Every transaction has it's fair share of challenging situations.  Having someone in your corner that understands contracts, inspections, title issues, loan related issues, survey issues and more is essential, in my opinion.

Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert I feel we are preaching to our choir here, and I fully agree with your assessment.

Bill Reddington What is a no representation Broker?  Just wondering. I don't chase FSBO's much because here in Boston in the Luxury category there are very few of them.

No Representation means exactly that. Really just facilitators.

Bill & Cyndi Daves We are legends in our own minds, many of us. Hehe.

Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner Interest rates do drive our industry but I think the primal need for food, SHELTER and clothing rules. Let's help, right?

Sharon Parisi You are so right.  I no longer try to explain to people how nuanced our business is, and rather just provide the deep levels of service we do with very little fanfare. It is better to have them share their joy with our process than for us to stand on the mountaintop and scream to people how valuable we are.

So many prospective sellers really believe they can do as good a job or better than Realtors.  And, they are so deluded about the price they will ask for the property.  While I am no longer surprised by this, it continues to baffle me.

Carol Lynn Johnson The public's capacity for undervaluing a professional's skills has something to do with the few who are unprofessional and give all of us a bad name.  Be the best you can be all the time and consistently and don't worry about what some people may think. Good people know to hire professionals.

Who rules the market? KW? If you subscribe to this type training where you lower your personal standards to the ludicracy of having dollar bills dumped on you while shouting "I'm a money magnet!" then yes, I suppose you are the boldest agent pimping the streets.

Hmmmm,  Tim Dykstra  this sounds vaguelly like a snarky type criticism about a program that has helped many people succeed.  It is not for everyone, but then again neither is any brand of training.  I see you work for a boutique agency in the middle of Michigan, how is that going for you?  Make yours a great day today.

Larry - Real estate is certainly local, and it is best to find an agent who knows the local market, is an expert communicator, and one who listens to their clients wants and needs.
