Need A Blog Post Idea? Check Your Drafts

There are little bits of gold to be found in your blog post drafts. I have often gotten side tracked or busy and saved a post for later...never to go back.

Tonight for instance, I happened upon my drafts and found a great reblog that never was published, not sure why to be fair.

I also found a post that I started on great things to do in November. Well, too late for that one, but December is coming up and a draft has already begun.

I also use drafts when I need to develop an idea and need time. A quick save and I can go back and play with it. Truthfully, most of my posts are a train of thought, with very few revisions, if any. But sometimes I want to create something that takes time and thought.

Shocking?

So the draft option gives me the ability to write, save and write again.

Looking for a post idea? See what you've saved in your drafts. There might be a little gold nugget there.

Karen, I've also found a few that I am so thankful that I didn't publish!  But you're right.  You can always take the old idea and recreate it.

Yes, Karen. I have a few drafts that I need to finish writing. It pays to go back and check on them, or even to rewrite as need ideas come along.

Karen- I have a file on my Google docs and on my iPhone for ideas or topics.  I'll have to check out my drafts.

There are some old ideas that we just stopped working on. I found a reblog of your there last night and reblogged it.

I don't make full use of the draft status as I could, but it's a great tool for jotting down ideas for later. Whether later ever arrives or not, who knows?

Karen - Thanks for the idea. I believe that I do have a few thoughts I started in the AR drafts, and I might be able to go back and create a real post from them.

Good Friday morning Karen. Thanks for the idea. Sometimes, all I need to do is look at some of the old photographs I've taken from inspections. Plenty of blog fodder.

Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner it is not my drafts I look since I have none. It is my notes I make while driving along and not wanting to forget a good idea, that is where I remember what I had forgotten during our always busy and serpantine days. Thanks for the post.

Hi Karen.  When I get a blog idea I write the title and save it for later.
