I can still hear my Father telling me to hustle ! Walk with purpose , he'd bark at me . Don't
dawdle or dilly-dally ! There are things that a parent teaches their child that are never forgotten !
Another thing my Dad would greet me with many mornings was "Rise and Shine " ! Fast forward
to many years later, these expressions still visit me as I awaken to start my day .
As a self employed individual , the way we start our day is crucial ! We have to plan and walk
each day with purpose . So what are some important habits that enable us to live with purpose ?
1. A Daily Things to Do List - Once again my Father's voice is speaking to me . "Mike can you
tell me 3 reasons why you got out of bed today ? Otherwise stay there until you can ?"
2. Retreat to your Quiet Place - find the place where you can concentrate and work uninterrupted .
3. Feed Your Mind Daily - impart Wisdom, positive/inspirational readings to fortify your Attitude
for what lies ahead today !
4. Perform your Time Blocked Activities - for me this is returning client/consumer calls and
responding to email requests. Use your CRM to make any other scheduled calls .
5. HOUR of POWER - for 1 hour I will call my MET Group(S.O.I.) , reaching as many as possible .
After the hour is complete, information and notes will be added to the CRM .
6. My Target Group (Un-Mets)- Content Marketing through Active Rain is my first choice ,
followed by Social Media . Daily , I need to chip away and continue Branding to this target
audience that lies within my Primary Market Area .
Now I'm ready to leave my home office (quiet place ) and head out to my first appointment.
And as I pull out of my driveway , I hear my Dad say , " Mike, walk with Purpose ! "
