Have you ever been around someone who was, well, a real Negative Nellie, Debbie Downer or Bummer Bob? Perhaps she/he is speaking poorly of another. Then there are those who just can't see any good in anything. The weather is horrible, the cashier was slow, the traffic is bad. I could go on and on but honestly, I would rather not.
You see, just focusing on negatives long enough to write this post is enough for me. Simply having the thoughts about those Negative Nellies makes one start to think about, and dwell on.
Instead I want to focus on the GOOD things around me every day. Cold outside? Rather than complaining I can, instead, be thankful I have a warm home, a vehicle with a good heater and a sweet husband who starts it for me to warm it up. Laundry day? I will be thankful for the fact I can afford to shop.
My goal for 2016 is to find at least ONE thing every day that is a positive. I challenge you to look around you for things to be positive about. A flower, the sunshine or something as simple as waking up in the morning. Take it a step farther and start a journal of the things you find each day.
I hope you'll share some of them in the comments below.
