Self-Esteem . . . . is Like a Flower
“Self-esteem is like a difficult-to-cultivate flower.
It requires frequent nurturing that occurs
when you keep your word and follow
through on your promises.”
Derrick Bell. Championing Auto Race Car Driver
As I see it. . . . . . . .
Self-esteem . . . . is like a flower
A flower is a beautiful thing to look at when it’s in full bloom.
A person with self-esteem . . . . is a beautiful thing to see as they they radiate their confidence . . . . and their sense of worth.
To experience the full beauty of a flower it has to be cared for . . . . and cultivated.
Self-esteem has to be nurtured to bloom. The nurturing can come from, a parent . . . . a grandparent . . . . a close friend . . . . a coworker . . . . or someone that cares about you as a person.
Nurturing a child can build their self-esteem . . . . and a foundation the a successful life. At other time the nurturing . . . . can support a person in rebuilding their self-esteem after a severe setback.
When you know someone who needs a boost . . . . be there to nurture them. When you need a boost find someone that can mentor you.
Self-esteem . . . . is like a flower, Bring the power of your self-esteem to the surface . . . . and it into the light and into a full bloom for all to see.
