A weekend spent in Pacific City, Oregon beckoned me to take my camera and head onto the gray-hued beach for some photographic perspectives.
Beach creatures from tiny crablike beings (as if from another planet) of a half-inch in length,
to a mammoth tree festooned with constellations of barnacles. The smooth, striated surfaces were a visual delight to this photographic eye. Very wabi sabi-ish!!!
I even found a tiny creature whose slightly slimy surface reminded me of a face that's had just one too many trips to the plastic surgeon!
Just my crazy imagination at work again.
The artwork that nature provides from the ocean depths that lands on the beach is always a sight to behold with awe.
The mahogany tones of water-washed wood on the giant tree gave me opportunities to see abstract art, like the one above, but with completely different structures, lines and textures.
What would a beach be without the ever-present seagull? This one struck me as rather pensive as he stood facing the waves, quietly taking in the morning.
Bunnies at the Beach? What?? Yes. An odd tale, not sure of all of the details, but they are now prolific wandering around freely in Pacific City. I caught this one beside the road as I headed for home.
