Listing Agents Have No Use for Bad Mortgage Lenders

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

What do you get when you toss an inexperienced Sacramento buyer's agent into the blender with a bad mortgage lender? Answer: A ruined blender that you have to throw out. It's not even worth plugging the blender into the wall to watch them spin around and around in a bloody mess. Straight into the trash can, and you can't use recycling because it's contaminated. Doesn't qualify for recycling.

After 3 months of trying to close the sale of a home in Sacramento, and being continually reassured by the WF loan rep the file would close, the loan rep whimpered into oblivion without so much as an hasta luego, amiga.

You can read more in my personal blog today about the matter at this link: How to Avoid a Bad Mortgage Lender in Sacramento.

Elizabeth, and what a lot of these guys don't appreciate is that Realtors have really, really long memories!  Even when short term memory goes, I'll remember the agents and lenders who screwed things up!

IElizabeth, WF is not on my list of go to's.. or wanna deal with's. None of those big box ones are. It is so typical. Unprofessional but typical.

And do they care or think about how many people are affected by their behavior. NOPE!

Ah well, good to know about the 2 year waiting period with Freddie Mac!

Good morning Elizabeth. Unfortunately it happens, when it does, it gives all of us a black eye.

Elizabeth, have heard a few bad WF stories lately including trying to get refinancing with them being a horror story. Shame that buyer did not contact you and your team initially to make the offer when you could have helped them.

Patricia Kennedy Some of us can't always recall so I know agents keep lists . . . there can be too many . . .

Andrea Swiedler Yeah, that Freddie Mac thing surprised me. Learned that from my preferred lender.

Joan Cox I imagine the Wells Fargo rep was too scared to call us, worried that we would strangle him.

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® I have run across a couple of good Wells Fargo loan reps in Sacramento, but they both went elsewhere, and now I can't find one when I need one. WF has a special program we could use, if I could only find a rep.

I have a WF loan officer that is wonderful and would cringe knowing about this!

Hi Elizabeth -- I agree with Patricia Kennedy --- the memory, especially when things have gone wrong, are long remembered.  Performance matters -- Dick should have known that.
