When I Work

I am thankful I love what I do so I can focus on it so much!  

Hi Sheila- Focus in achieving a task or goal is so important. And often when we have something else on our mind or in our lives that is bothering us, we turn to work and focus on that.  Not such a bad thing. 

Work can be therapeutic and, as odd as it sounds, a great stress reliever for me. It does help take my mind off my problems.

Sheila we all need something to keep us busy no matter at what point we are in our lives.

I haven't had any major troubles that I have felt I needed to be distracted from for several years.  But, work has a reward, especially if it provides a service which helps mankind.

Sheila Anderson I learned this lesson from my mother many years ago.  When at work focus on work and all your personal issues evaporate.

Oh yeah. My Mom taught me this one as a kid.  Whenever I'd be fretting or stewing about something or somebody she'd always say. GET BUSY DOING SOMETHINE ELSE AND YOU'LL FORGET ALL ABOUT IT!  Still works to this day!

Sheila, I am the same I really focus on my work. However, my dog lets me know when to stop and smell the roses... go for a walk.

Good morning Sheila. You are right about focusing on your work can often block out all other distractions.
