But most people don’t allow the happy moment, because they’re so busy trying to get a happy life. In fact, research shows that the pursuit of happiness is negatively correlated with actually being happy…As Eckhart Tolle explains, “Stress is caused by being HERE but wanting to be THERE.”  Too often we find ourselves racing toward an elusive THERE, an end-all-be-all finish line that we feel we must reach in order to be happy. But life is not a linear race to be won. There is always going to be another THERE so why not choose to be HERE, now? If you’re always racing to the next moment what happens to the one you’re in? Instead of letting an elusive THERE drive your day, make HERE NOW the primary focus of your day, month, year...life.
