I'm Looking For a Real Estate Agent Thank you ActiveRain
While doing some work in the house this morning, I received a very nice phone call. The opening words by the person on the line were: I'm looking for a Real Estate agent. My quick reply was just I just happen to be one.
The caller then started to explain that they had been through a short sale 5 years ago, are were trying to find out if they could qualify to buy a home again. I asked how they found me and it was offered that they were seeking agents familiar with short sales, and that's when my name came up as a Central CT agent for Short sales.
We discussed their situation and I gave my thoughts on what they should assemble from their recent history that would be pertinent to a loan officer that would review their financial history for a mortgage application. I offered a couple of suggestions for loans and hoped that I would hear from them soon.
This is a boomerang buyer that had a life situation a few years back that impacted them sufficiently financially that they could not maintain their mortgage. Since then, they have been able to recover some of their funds to save, as well as clean up some of their credit issues. With a good history of maintaining rental payments since then, I believe they will soon be looking at a home to purchase.
They read my ActiveRain blogs on short sales and took a chance on calling to get some assistance, which hopefully, I was able to help with. Blogging effectively does work and with consistency you do get those calls.
