Yesterday, I started the day early with my oldest son and his wife at the Kiwanis Pancake breakfast, before checking out the floats setting up for the Big Apple Blossom Parade later that morning.
I knew we needed to get there early, before all the band members started showing up for breakfast. Turns out, we arrived just ahead of the 121 member Kitsap High band. And that was only one of dozens of High School bands from all over the state.
This year is the 97th annual Apple Blossom Festival. Put it on your calendar to come in 2019, to help us celebrate our 100th. It is a day day affair, and closes out with the big parade is always the first Saturday in May.
This day there were 97 entries slated for the parage and it was an absolutely gorgeous day for the parade through downtown Wenatchee, Washington.
Have a Happy Day!
Carol
