If you are a child of the 60's you will want to attend the Musical Play "A Sign of the Times" At the Goodspeed Opera House starting this Friday, August 29th and running through September 4th. The title alone brings back some special memories for me, it is the title of a song that I grew up listening to.
"A sign of the Times" is about a young women named Cindy who comes to Manhattan from the heart of America in 1965 to make it big. Those of us who were around in the 1960's will remember fondly the featured song made famous by Petula Clark as well as other well know songs from the 60's like:
I Know a Place"
The Shoop Shoop Song
If I Can Dream
Downtown
and many more
These were all songs I grew up listen to, and when no one was around, I sang to them as well.
