That's right. Tesla announced more Reno workers are needed than original estimates suggested. Instead of the 6,000 jobs Musk's company believed necessary to complete their vision, he told reporters that they are expecting to employ as many as 10,000 non-construction workers inside the plant by 2019/2020. That makes the job fair that took place in Reno on July 23rd even more important. I hope you attended. Another exciting development regarding Tesla doesn't involve battery manufacturing at all. Instead, the phrase of today is "solar panels". Tesla officially declared that they have now reached a deal to purchase SolarCity, a solar power system manufacturer. Some in the industry speculate that solar cells on the roofs of cars may may be a major advancement in the renewable energy source game. It could lead to even further integration of Tesla's technology into other "green" products.
Now that Tesla announced more Reno workers are needed to make their gigafactory dreams come true, how will that impact the Reno real estate market? I believe that prices will continue their rise.
