I am sitting here waiting for an oil change. I haven't had an oil change since I was on vacation last year. I go 10,000 miles between with the new synthetic oil that is used in my car. Sometimes I get get Donald to do this for me, because he's the best husband on the planet.
I am sitting here with my iPad in the dreadfully uncomfortable chair and there is a glare on the television from the huge 20 foot plate glass windows and a soap opera is on so watching television isn't a good option. They have tables, but the height of the table isn't conducive to a laptop or well anything actually. I need to both head to my parents house and check on things and feed the cat and water the garden and go back to my office.
I actually don't make clients wait at my office unless they they have an appointment and come for their appointment a little early when an agent isn't ready yet. Rare, but does happen occasionally. But my lobby is "living room" style with a very comfortable sofa and two chairs. I actually go in there from time to time during my day and sit to relax and unwind for a few minutes before getting back to work.
If you're going to make people wait, can't you at least make them comfortable while they wait?
