Peppers ruled the roost this morning. We bought some poblano peppers to make our favorite chile relleno stuffed with chicken easy casserole recipe. I will add the recipe, to the comments when I find it.
Bull horn peppers AKA Corno de Tore were very colorful. They are a sweet varietal, and they are great on the grill.
It seemed that everyone had sishito peppers for sale. They are Japanese varietal. They are easy to prepare, and they are delicious to nibble with a drink.
Why Nirvana in the title? We would like to recommend a 6 part series called "Eat the World" with Emeril Lagasse which was produced with Amazon. If you are a Prime member, it is free. We have seen 4 episodes so far.
The fourth one was set in South Korea, featuring a Buddhist nun, Jeong Kwan, who cooks Vegan style...She talks of growing food and the preparation of it as the way to "Nirvana"! Her advice is to eat gratefully appreciating the food and the preparation. We were moved by her, it seemed to us she had found her bliss and her Nirvana.
Nirvana is defined as a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. It represents the final goal of Buddhism.
Wishing you lots of Saturday Smiles!
