Set in the hills above Waterbury CT, Prospect CT has carried the distinction of being one of the Best Little Small Towns in Connecticut. With a population of less than 10,000 it has a small town feel yet offers a great deal to it's residents in the way of recreation and services.
A good education system is important to parents to ensure that their children are well taught and get a good start to their lives. The School system in Prospect CT is a Regional district shared with Beacon Falls, our neighbor to the south. The system offers not only quality teaching but state of the art facilities. The newest building being the ultra modern Elementary School which opened to students in the fall of 2016. The high school, Woodland HS is less than 20 years old as well.
Recreation is important to a healthy body as well, and in the center of activities in Prospect CT is Hotchkiss Field which offers so much diversity to it's residents. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, a children's play-scape, walking trails as well as running tracks, and the open fields which are used for soccer as well as all manner of games. In season there is also a skating area. There are also 2 large recreational areas available in other areas of the town to residents as well.
Not all of the focus for activities and recreation in Prospect CT are focused on the young. The town has one of the best Senior centers in the area with a diversity of daily and weekly events to keep it's senior residents entertained and active.
Prospect CT is good to it's residents not only for what it offers but also for the fiscal management that keeps it one of the least costly towns in the area for taxes while keeping home values stable.
