I bet if I said "big hair, shoulder pads, and leg warmers", you'd know exactly what I was referring to - the 1980's! When life was good, the living was easy, and good parties were all the rage. The 1980's probably remind you of a time when you had less responsibilities and a lot more fun.
"What does South Florida have to do with the 80's", you might ask. Well, luckily for you, on Delray Beach this Friday night, September 30th, you can take a trip back a few decades and relive some of the best years of your life! Honey Delray is hosting ‘I Want My 80s Back,’ a party that is sure to take you back in time. To make the party even more authentic, at 10:00 pm, queen Shannon will perform as the audience grooves to "Let The Music Play" and many other Greatest Hits of the 80's. For the rest of the party, DJ Johnny Quest will be spinning all of your favorite jams from 7:00 pm all the way until 11:00 pm.
There's a small $10 admission fee, but to sweeten the deal, drinks will be half-off from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm - it's sure to be the most literal form of a Happy Hour. If you're even the least bit intrigued in this event, I suggest you go - it'll be the perfect way to decompress and forget about your stressful work week. You can visit the event's EventBrite and grab some tickets ahead of time, so you have nothing to worry about!
So, head down to Honey Delray, 16 East Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, and be prepared to have the time of your life. Or, at the very least, throw all of your cares away and burn a ton of calories Partying Like its 1999.
