A Painting - The Milk Silo - "Before and After".
As an artist, I am always looking at things differently than most. This photo was taken in Woodland, Indiana, south of South Bend and Mishawaka on Hwy 131 near the one block town of Wyatt. I was always fascinated by the advertisements on the sides of buildings, like "Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco" and others, but I had not seen many cement grain silos with ads on them...especially a Milk advertisement.
This was one of my early paintings in my career. It was only a matter of weeks and I noticed that it had been removed. Several years later, the owner of the property purchased a print of the painting.

I have been asked on occasion how I was able to create my paintings. In this series I show the actual place as my photograph and the final painting to show the comparison. Most of the paintings were made from, as many as 12 photographs taken from different angles, as well as closeup shots. These are the before and after shots.
