Things to do *INSIDE* in Mesa AZ

So yes, we live in Arizona and in June/July/August it really sucks to go outside for longer that 36.2 seconds. I've created a list of some cool Mesa things to check out inside...you know, where there is air conditioning.

THE IDEA MUSEUM

idea-museum This is a great place to bring kids! Be sure to wear or bring socks for the no shoes room or you will not be allowed in that area, unless you want to buy their socks. Rooms/areas were full of hands on activities for all ages. Ideas were very decorative and artistic. Would definitely return. Beautiful set up. $8pp Visit the Idea Museum Website: http://www.ideamuseum.org/

mesa artS Center

mesa-arts-center If you ever have a chance to catch a performance at the Ikeda Theater at this complex, absolutely do it! I saw the Postmodern Jukebox show here and it is a wonderful theater with comfortable seating. In my opinion it is just the perfect size venue, not too big, not too small. The Mesa Arts Center also has a variety of programs, art shows, community events and more. It simply is a fantastic place to visit. Check out their shows and programs on their website: http://www.mesaartscenter.com/

MESA ARIZONA TEMPLE VISITORS CENTER

mesa-temple-christmas-dusk-931411 This place is more famous for its Christmas Light Festival, however you can visit the building's Visitor Center. A great place to get some quiet time no matter what your religious preference is. Each December we take our guests to tour the temple grounds containing a colorful display of light. Beautiful reflecting pool is lit by lights. Be sure to go inside to see the room of Nativity sets from around the world.

organ stop pizza

organ-stop-pizza Yes, it's a restaurant. Go there. Do it. Organ Stop Pizza is a fun and entertaining place for all ages. The musician is wonderful and talented. The children love watching all the surrounding features and being able to put in requests. If someone is celebrating a special occasion they will announce that too. The food is just ok and if you don't like pizza their salads are good. Desserts also available. They open at 5pm weekdays and 4pm weekends. Visit the Organ Stop Pizza website: http://www.organstoppizza.com/

escape rooms mesa

escape-rooms Thanks to Escape Rooms Mesa, we enjoyed an hour locked in a room with one of our teenagers! A great experience and we will be back. We also had people from out of town and decide to escape the heat and stretch our brains and boy did we. Actually, our teen asked if we could go next weekend! Win, Win! Hi Ann

I think this is a great idea for those really toasty days in the summer in AZ. I've not seen anyone else sharing ideas like this here on AR. Bet visitors and residents will appreciate this, especially if there are not familiar with all of these venues.
