The Wakarusa Dime Store was established in 1907 in downtown Wakarusa, Indiana.  In 1969 they introduced the Jumbo Jelly Beans and now sells 75 Tons annually.

Store Hours

Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm

Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm

Sunday, 11 am to 4 pm

You had me at the words "jelly beans," Larry! Jumbo or not, I love them although all that sugar can't be good for one. Have never seen jumbo sized jelly beans.

Larry I love jelly beans but they do a number on my blood sugar.  It is going to be tough to stay off of them this year, and it would be even tougher if I lived near Wakarusa Dime Store with their jumbo jelly beans.

Kudos to The Wakarusa Dime Store for being an establishment for more 100 years and introducing Baby Boomers, their parents, and generations that followed to the Jumbo Jelly Bean!!! That's quite an accomplishment! While many businesses have gone out of business or failed there is something very special about this one! According to the McKinsey Studies, most companies don't last past 100 years. I would love to know what makes this one tick and profit!
