You ever wonder why some sellers leave some things behind?

By

When it is time to move, you hope the seller takes everything? But every now and then they leave something behind for the new buyer? In this case though, there is no new buyer yet. The sellers have left, the home will be sold vacant. Sitting in the room of this  Windham NH area home is a Giant ball. Placed in the center of the room near the fireplace and centered between 2 large windows on either side.

Any guesses? I do not have or know the answer. All we can do is wonder?

Before i tell you my guess and why, I like to have a conversation with all my sellers when listing a home. Personal property should not be left. That which is attached, known as a fixture, must stay. Paint, oil, gas and such should not remain.

Most often i speak to my seller upon getting an offer and going over anything the buyer may have asked for. Again a reminder on what to leave and what not to.

When I was a kid, those balls had a handle on them and you punched them. These days some call them yoga or exercise balls. My take is it was left for the new owner to relieve stress from moving in. Or perhaps me, as i handle the sale. I dont think anyone wants to see me doing yoga????

IN THE END: All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest. By using a philosophy, which is simple, to provide more personal and professional service to guide my clients through each step of the buying or selling process, I can help you find your dream home or sell your property. Your agent can stand behind you and assist with obstacles such as this.

It was obvious it was intentional and like you said, Scott, maybe to help relieve some of the stress.

Scott it does look like a big exercise ball.  Looks like that forgot a few other dodads hanging by the door and on the wall.  Sometimes people get in a hurry at the end and do forget a few things.

I would say the former occupant is lacking a ball, Scott Godzyk  Painful at best. Do you suppose at some point that owner of that ball will come back to retrieve it.

It could be that they left it behind as they knew they would no longer have any stress to be relieved.

No doubt there is meaning and perhaps significance for the sellers.  It is easier enough to dispose of or donate ... or maybe you could do some videos of you doing yoga?

I had one that I used for rehab after a car accident, maybe that is the gift for the next owner, or is that bad luck?

They ran out of room in the moving truck is my guess and were too tired to deflate it.

Hi Scott - I dunno - I'd pay good money to see you doing yoga. And that ball is much better than a fridge full of moldy food.
