I just read the Twitter # Hashtag is 10 Years Old Today

I just saw in my Facebook Feed that the Twitter # Hashtag is ten years old today.

Funny thing is I personally  do not not Tweet.

I have a Twitter account but haven't used in years.

That said, Patty and I do  use our # Hashtag everyday in real estate.

Years ago, I quickly realized that a # hashtag is simply a simple way to search for what you want.

So if you or anyone was to give as call or they say can you show me how you market my home if  I were to list with you. Sure I have brochures, and postcards, but in today's online world you need so much more!

I simply ask the prospective client to Google our # hashtag which is #twinssellingrealestate

Let me show you the results of that search and a few other ways a # hashtag can be used to find what you need and want.

It was always just the 'pound sign' to me until Twitter came along. After all the 'tweeting' that seems to get people in trouble one way or the another I long for the good ol' days.
