The town is built on the concept of providing clean renewable energy which includes Florida Green Building Coalition certified buildings.
Students of the school will have a first hand look the 75 MW solar farm and will gain an understanding of eco-stewardship.

The town has community wide standards. All homes at Babcock Ranch must receive a Bronze Standard of Certification or higher from the Florida Green Building Coalition.
