I met these buyers in Starbucks about 5 years ago.
They are awesome people who told me when they decided to sell their home in Viera, FL they would call me!
I see the husband often at Starbucks and we talk about a range of issues including the real estate market.
About a month ago he called me to tell me they would like to buy a lot in Melbourne Beach to build their dream home. This is a difficult proposition because Melbourne Beach has a limited supply of available and desirable (build-able) lots.
We found one that was under contract with another buyer. I called the agent to find out the contract she had included a contingency for sale of other home (known as a kick out clause).
I advised my clients to put in an offer. We would know in 3 days. We got the lot when the original buyers backed out.
We closed and we are now interviewing builders to finish off the dream.
