There's a New Rental Law in Town - Baltimore City That Is
On August 1st a new law came into affect that governs rental properties in Baltimore City. The new law requires all Baltimore City rental properties, single family as well as multi unit, to be licensed to operate as a rental property by January 1, 2019.
All Baltimore City rental properties:
- must be registered with the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) using the online portal
- must be inspected by a State Licensed, Baltimore City registered Home Inspector in order to receive a license from the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). You can also ask me for a personal referral to one of my trusted service providers.
