First Snow of 2018 Season in Delaware County PA

Snow Delaware County PA Our first snow of the season just happened.

It started around 10 am and just now stopped snowing close to 2 pm...oh it started up again!!

Is this a preview of what is to come this winter?

This is the earliest we have had snow in years.

When I was a kid it used to snow around Thanksgiving, but in recent years this part of Southeastern Pennsylvania has not really had any snow until the new year.

So maybe this year's weather pattern is such that we might have snow around December 25?!! At least snow like it did today!! Nothing bad to travel in! One can only wish!

Gloria I have gotten to the point in life where I don't even want or like the snow we got in Virginia. It is pretty though. Enjoy! Probably why I am in Arizona.

Seems like alot of places are getting snow today & tomorrow like Chicago, Washington & NYC. Early snow for everyone except us inn the Carolinas. Just dreary rain & cold.

Schools all around here were closed due to snow and ice. Seems earlier than usual and I hope his is what we have to look forward to this year, Bring it on!

Yes, we are getting half of Amazon’s HQ2...it will take a few years for everyone to be in place, but there are a lot of exciting things happening in the area where they will be going. People here are pretty excited.

I'll bet you are, Gloria! We so rarely get snow that when we do, Charlotte closes down! We are not equipped for snow...plus only the northern transplants know how to drive in it! LOL

Debe Maxwell, CRS As it turns out the accumulations turned out to be quite large north of us and caused many accidents and delays for commuters at the evening rush hour. Yes experienced drivers knowing how to pump breaks instead of riding brakes makes a difference. I will never tire of watching snow falling.
