I agree, for those who haven't made a post in a year they need to be deleted, for those who are no longer with us, I have no answer

This is a really good suggestion.  Some type of status would be helpful....

I thought this was a good idea from Roy Kelley , I wonder if anything will come from it.  Perhaps it will, as I would think that Roy has way more clout with the powers that be at AR than I do.

Good morning Gabe. I read this when first published and thought it would make a difference. I suggested a designation of Emeritus. Seems nothing has happened.

Gabe Roy Kelley suggestion is a good one.  There are a number of members I use to follow who have past and it makes sense to point-out members who are no longer active bloggers because they are deceased.

I have a blog already to let everyone know my passing.  And I have instructions for someone o post it

It is probably easier to herd cats than to get members to agree to changes. 

I agree that Ben Kinney and Bob Stewart should address this issue for all of us

Roy has a great idea and would be nice if the AR staff would listen.

I saw this post from Roy and had to laugh at his comment above. Seems to me this would be an easy fix. Not sure why there is any resistance to implementing some kind of designation or acknowledgment. Perhaps simply being notified that a member is deceased is the challenging part of the equation? In most cases, members know but I can see where someones demise might be overlooked.
