In the world of everyday is some kind of special day. Today is National Love Your Pet Day. I had to laugh because for all of us that love and support our pets everyday is love your pets day. The only reason I am even mentioning this is because any opportunity to encourage people to save, help and embrace the hundreds of thousands of needy pets who die daily is a good one.

If you are having a bad day.....think about adopting. If you are lonely.....think about adopting. If you have time on your hands.......think about adopting. There is nothing more enhancing in your own life than loving a pet who has nothing and no one. Adopt and don't shop......foster and find compassion, donate to organizations that help homeless pets, and most importantly find compassion by showing it.

My husband sends me cat photos almost every day because it is very weird being away from my cats. Although, I have to say, I do marvel at pulling black t-shirts out of the dryer. Never seen those shirts so BLACK. No cat hair. But I miss them.
