Our good friend Alexandra ( Ron and Alexandra Seigel ) says roses love June. Our neighboring city across the Columbia River, Portland, Oregon, is celebrating the annual Rose Festival this month too. Therefore, she must be on to something. We've since learned, June is also National Rose month.

Thank you for the mention, and I do love roses. When I lived in Minnesota with my parents, we had a beautiful rose in the yard that would bloom every June after its period of dormancy. I could see it from my second story bedroom window...

My roses totally outdid themselves in May, and seem to be resting a bit now, while waiting for me to fertilize them. I have a purple one similar to the one pictured. It is called, "Intrigue." And, my yellow one like your's, is called, "Sutter's Gold."

I haven't grown roses in a long time but when i was in cancer treatment in Houston I would go to the rose garden in hermann Park daily. It restored me.

What stunning flowers! I didn't know that June is National Rose Month. There are some beautiful ones blooming right now in all kinds of places. My buyers who just closed on a home acquired a gorgoeous iceberg rose at the front of their new home.
