Monday Inspiration: Knowledge--A Wall of Fog ?

Pictured above is the ceiling/wall of fog over the Paradise Valley in the Los Padres National Forest.

I recently came across the teachings of Don Miguel Ruiz.  Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías, better known as Don Miguel Ruiz, is a Mexican author of Toltec spiritualist and neoshamanistic texts. Wikipedia

Humans believe so many lies because we aren't aware. We ignore the truth or we just don't see the truth. When we are educated, we accumulate a lot of knowledge, and all that knowledge is just like a wall of fog that doesn't allow us to perceive the truth, what really is.

What a lovely photo!!! I am not familiar with Don Miguel Ruiz but hope you'll share more quotes from him. We forget that information is a tool...it's all about what you do with it.

A good quote paired up with a great photo. True, knowledge can be the barrier to perceiving the truth as we doubt every thing that our knowledge(limited or vast) says it can't be the real thing.

What a really neat photo that is Alexandra.  And, it offers up a little solace for the the high temps that we are enduring here in Sacramento currently.  We are slated to hit 105 on Thursday.

Morning Alexandra.

There are so many news outlets that spin a article in so many ways.  To know which one is telling the truth is difficult at best

What a beautiful photo, Alexandra. While I hated to drive through heavy fog when I lived in San Francisco, I loved seeing it from my apartment window over the Bay Bridge. Made me feel as if I was the only person in the world.

We have driven through fog many times, here is the mountains, in SF and in Napa.  The worst was on the road to the Alps from Milan Italy.  They had what they refer to nebbia blanca, or white fog.  We could barely see the back lights of cars 10 feet ahead of us...It took hours to get back to Milan...A

Nina Hollander We are not strangers to fog or its beauty, we have seen it everywhere we have lived.  The worst was on the road to the Italian Alps. We drove at 5 miles an hour.  A

HI Alexandra... somehow, I missed the fog everytime I've driven through the Alps and I'm happy for that. Navigating the streets of San Francisco was bad enough when you couldn't see past your nose.

Myrl Jeffcoat Thank you for the feature.  Sorry to hear that the temperatures have been so high in Sacramento.  I remember flying in to Sacramento in the winter from a ski trip in Utah.  When we landed to temperature was lower in Sacramento than when took off from Salt Lake...A

What a quote! I've not heard it before.  And yes, dense fog makes it nearly impossible at times to see our way to the truth.

Sometimes, you have to climb a little higher to get to the waterfall on the other side of the will of fog. :)
