Many businesses thank veterans and active military members by offering them a free meal or other gift on Veterans Day, which is Monday, November 11th, 2019. If you’re a member of the military, please check out this list, and see if there’s a deal that you might be able to take advantage of.

If you’re not a military member, you probably know one. Why not share this information and also thank them as well?

Not all of these deals take place exactly on Veterans Day, so make sure to read all the details. Unless otherwise specified, these freebies and deals are for veterans and active duty military and take place Monday, November 11, 2019.

 

 

Free food and drink

Applebees Veterans Day Freebie

Free meal from a special menu on Monday, November 11th, 2019. Dine-in only. Proof of service required.

California Pizza Kitchen

Monday, November 11th, veterans and active military members can enjoy a complimentary meal from the Veterans Day menu at all participating California Pizza Kitchen locations. Guests can choose from complimentary pizza, pasta or full size salad and beverage by showing proof of service. They will also receive a card for a BOGO free pizza, pasta, or salad redeemable from November 12 to November 20.

 
 
 

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

From Friday, November 8th, to Monday, November 11th, firefighters, police officers, veterans and active military will receive a free order of Calamari with any purchase. You must present valid ID. Carrabba’s also offers a 10 percent discount to active military and veterans throughout the year.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport

On Monday, November 11th, 2019, active duty military and military veterans with ID can enjoy a complimentary Pimento Cheeseburger while they dine-in at these three restaurants: 1897 Market (Atrium), Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar (Concourse C), and Whisky River (Concourse E.) The Pimento Cheeseburger was created by a team of military veterans turned chefs, and is solely available for the month of November, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Folds of Honor, which supports military families. HMSHost offers a year-round 15 percent military discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages at HMSHost locations throughout the United States including at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The 15 percent discount is valid any day of the week for military members with valid identification at HMSHost-operated locations nationwide.

Chicken Salad Chick

Chicken Salad Chick locations will be offering a free Chick Special and Regular Drink to any veteran or active military service member that dines with them on Monday, November 11th, 2019.

On November 11th, 2019, Chili’s offers a special menu for veterans to eat for free at the restaurant’s many locations across the United States. Valid ID is required.

City Barbeque

City Barbeque is treating veterans and troops to a free meal on the house on Monday, November 11th, 2019. Get a free sandwich, two sides and a regular beverage.

 Cracker Barrel Veterans Day Freebie

On Monday, November 11th, 2019, military veterans will receive a complimentary crafted coffee or a slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake. Dine-in only.

Denny’s

Free Build Your Own Grand Slam Breakfast for all U.S. veterans on Monday, November 11th, 2019, from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Active, non-active or retired military personnel with a valid military ID or DD 214. Dine-in only.

Dunkin’

On Monday, November 11th, 2019, veterans and active duty military will get a free donut of their choice. No purchase necessary. The first 50 veterans and active military members at participating Dunkin’ restaurants will also receive a thank you card written by members of the community.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will be giving out free combo meal cards, good through November 30th, 2019, to any veteran or active-duty military personnel who visits a Freddy’s restaurant on Monday, November 11th, 2019.

Golden Corral Veterans Day Freebie

Golden Corral’s annual Military Appreciation Night is Monday, November 11th, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Anybody who has served in the military is eligible for a free meal.

 
 
 

Little Caesars Pizza

Little Caesars Pizza is offering all veterans and active military members a free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo on Monday, November 11th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This includes four slices of Detroit-style DEEP!DEEP!™ Dish pizza, paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi product. No coupon required, but you have to show proof of service.

Logan’s Roadhouse

All active duty and retired U.S. military personnel are invited to enjoy a free dine-in meal from of the American Roadhouse menu on Monday, November 11th, 2019. This offer is available from 3 pm to 6 pm at all participating Logan’s Roadhouse restaurants nationwide.

McCormick & Schmick’s

Veterans of the U.S Military, National Guard, Gold Star Parents and Gold Star Spouses can enjoy a free entrée on Sunday, November 10th, 2019.

Menchie’s

On Monday, November 11th, all veterans and active duty military will receive their first six ounces free when they present their valid military ID or proof of service at the time of purchase. Find the closest Menchie’s.

O’Charley’s

O’Charley’s offers veterans and active duty service members a free meal on Monday, November 11th, 2109, as well as a military discount of 10% all year. Anyone who donates $5 on their dine-in check, through November 11th, to go to The Folded Flag Foundation, will receive a $5 voucher for a future The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Monday, November 11th, 2019, active and retired members of the military can receive a free meal that includes two items served with rice and beans. They can choose the two items from a list of eight items: house salad, chicken tortilla soup, seasoned ground beef enchilada with chile con carne, spinach and mushroom enchilada with sour cream sauce, cheese and onion enchilada with chile con carne sauce, chicken tinga enchilada with green chile or sour cream sauce, seasoned ground beef taco, and shredded chicken tinga taco.

Pilot Flying J

From November 8th through 11th, 2019, all active-duty and retired military veterans get a free breakfast, incuding a free Pilot Coffee of any size, with a choice of one free PJ fresh breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza or breakfast grill item. You’ll need to redeem the offer in the Pilot Flying J app.

Red Robin

Veterans and active duty personnel can get a free Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Monday, November 11th.

Red Lobster

Starbucks

On Monday, November 11th, 2019, all veterans, active service members, and their spouses, will receive a free cup of coffee at participating stores. In addition, Starbucks will donate 25 cents for every cup of brewed coffee sold that day to non-profits Team Rubicon, which helps mobilize veterans to respond to disasters, and Team Red, White and Blue, for their “Ending Isolation” campaign,

Veterans and active military get free admission to Carowinds Saturdays and Sundays in November, through Sunday, November 17th. In addition they can buy discounted tickets for their family.

Amazon Prime

Veterans Day Events

American Airlines Salute to Veterans Parade
Charlotte’s annual Veterans Day parade takes place Monday, November 11th, 2019, starting at 11 a.m. It starts on North Tryon Street, heading down Tryon, to end at 600 S. Tryon Street.

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in Huntersville
Huntersville marks the day with a parade, ceremony, and family activities Monday, November 11th, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd. The parade starts at 10 a.m., and will be followed by a ceremony at 11 a.m., and then live music, a chance to make cards for veterans, and a food truck rally that benefits Veterans Motorsports.

Veterans Day Program in Cornelius
Cornelius’ program takes place on Monday, November 11th, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Rotary Plaza at Town Hall. It includes guest speakers, a 21-gun salute, and patriotic songs by Rockie Lynne and the W.A. Hough High School Concert Choir.

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in Mooresville
Mooresville is honoring veterans with a Cruise-In Saturday, November 9th, 2019, at 1 p.m. On Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th, there will be a ceremony at Glenwood Memorial Park at 11 a.m., and a parade in Downtown Mooresville at 1 p.m. Click on above link for all the details.
