I have done my research--to death! I am still not sure if it is worth the money and time!
I received mixed reviews, some are gung-ho on going and some would not even go--if they were paid!
I would like to hear from anyone who went to the 2007 Five Star and is going to the 2008 Five Star conference, as well!
I have to decide by June 15, 2008 or I can't go!

I have been getting emails like crazy about this....I was wondering about the same thing, of couse I spoke with a woman from the conference..and she was saying how wonderful it was going to be...but I am sure her paycheck counted on whether I signed up or not..
I have been the last two years and plan on going this year as well. both times I have increased my business with either bpo companies or reo contacts. Depends on you, if you sit and only listen I don't expect much to happen if you are good at talking and making contacts its well worth it.

OI went to REOmac and oined as well, i got a lot from the conference but from the classes not the "finding Asset manager part"
I will be there. This will be my first conference and I am very excited to learn more as well as make contacts. I will be wearing my 'socializing shoes' for this trip!
From everyone I have talked to, it is an only the strong will survive atmosphere. If you are not assertive in making contacts, you will get a good education and nothing else.

Looks like a fun vacay but that's about it. As far as making more AM contacts that will turn into moer listings, I don't see how it could be beneficial. There's going to be fifty million real estate agents there, an auction company and who else? I think they are just capitalizing on all the interest there is in this market segment. I can save the money and use it on maybe one of their local training certs which I think are probably good, but you can have the conference. Have fun!!
Thanks everyone for your comments......I conclude that it was not worth the cost. I am not going. Like Susan said-they are just in it to get the Realtors money, I am seeing more and more of this happening. I am even getting calls from-telemarketing companies-using the old sales poly "we have my two tickets that you reserved" huh! I never reserved any tickets...And one where the were going to give me HUD homes to list for a fee of course. They are coming out of the woodwork-aren't they!
