Have you tried Nature's Bakery Fig Bars?

Chef Dolores and I like and recommend Nature's Bakery Fig Bars. We usually get them at Costco where each box contains 36 twin packs of Raspberry, Fig and Blueberry fig bars. The twin packs are convenient for sharing one bar each at 100 calories each.

Hello Roy - while growing up, I do remember we had a fig tree on the side of our house.  They were a bit messy as I recall - childhood memories.

You would think I would recall Fig Newton cookies or something but the mention of anything fig-related brings back another piece of my personal history.    Have a good day.

Good morning, Roy Kelley figs are very good for you.... but not the bars.... too high in sugar ... a natural fig has only 4 grams of sugar....the bar has 10...that's added granular sugar.... eat fresh figs... it's a great food....high is fiber, too....

I like figs, yum. Fresh or dried. Yum.

Kat - When I have seen figs on a restaurant menu in the past, that item typically caught my attention although I can't think of any recipes myself as recipes aren't typically part of my top of mind thought process   You did remind me of dried figs though. . .

Hi Roy... I love fig bars... but avoid them... just too much sugar for me... and if I indulge in something sugary there are other sweets I'd prefer to allocate my sugar calories to.

I also have fond memories of those fresh figs from a fig tree in our back yard in Portsmouth, VA.

I bought these during my last trip to Costco but I definitely would not have if I had of looked at the ingredients beforehand.  They definitely contain too much sugar.  I don't understand why so much sugar has to be put in everything and I think a natural fig bar would taste just as good, if not better.

Roy, Larry used to buy them and enjoy them, but I can't remember the last time we bought this treat.

Roy,

I love figs, preferably fresh.  Otherwise, I find them too sweet for my palate.  I am glad you shared this as I know people who love them.  A

I haven't tried them yet but I'm always all for snacks that are natural & nutritious. Of course, it will probably be a while before I get into a Costco because of the crowds but when I do I'll be sure to grab a box.

Hi Roy,

Thank you for the recommendation of these fig bars, they sound good. We will have to check them out on our next Costco run. Unfortunately we were just there yesterday.

Hi Roy= I've never tried these but I do love Fig Newtons. (I haven't had one in ages and now I'm craving one.)
