Matthew 11:29-30
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
How do you make the invite to have others follow Christ? Listen to what Christ says with this invite. In today’s world more than ever people are tired, burdened and often leave little time for the things of God. Christ offers the opposite which is rest, and a light burden.
For you and I this we likely know. But there are days and time periods that we must remember this invite for ourselves as well! And there are the words gentle and humble. Instead of forcing Himself on people, he is there extending the invite of a different way of experiencing life. Christ heavenly way is there for you and others. He is standing on the door and he just needs to be let in. What areas of your life do you need to let him into? Or as you invite more people to allow Christ to work in their life too how can you be more like Christ with your invite?
Continue to learn and grow in your faith walk and as you do this share your journey. Share where your load has been lightened. Share about the peace, patience and love that is now in your heart that was not always there before! Share that you have days where you have setbacks, but now quickly come to realize that Christ is at the door and you invite Him back in!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR TEACHING ME HOW TO WALK THROUGH LIFE WITH YOU! AND HOW TO SHARE YOUR GOODNESS WITH OTHERS SO THEY TOO CAN FIND REST IN THEIR SOULS AND LIGHTEN THEIR BURDEN!
