Proverbs 10:4
“Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”
One thing that can get lost in the message of giving is that it does take effort on your behalf. The Lord can put you in front of the right people, right situations, guide you to do your best, but you will have to work to bring wealth. Some work is more laborious than others. There are some lines of work that are in need of more workers. Sometimes your work is putting everything together into a business, hiring the right people, training, marketing, researching, expanding and etc.
Sometimes the work is you as an individual going to work and giving your best effort and bringing value to your employer. And then the work is to spend the money you have wisely, and start with giving and saving. Giving and saving is a sign of diligence.
Working onto the Lord in all you do so that you may be a blessing to the people you serve is diligence. Sometimes the right opportunity comes after months, or years of doing the best you can where you are at. When you do this, combined with giving you will see your money go further, your ideas work better because you are honoring God with your work and your wealth!
THANK YOU LORD FOR THE ABILITY TO BRING WEALTH INTO MY LIFE. HELP ME BE AS DILIGENT AS POSSIBLE WITH MY WORK AND MY GIVING!
