Trying out the new Active Rain Outside Blog

Can't wait to play around with this new feature... a more customized ActiveRain blog.

I was checking out listings in our MLS System today, going over properties in the $100,000 - $350,000 price range, and was able to find a few good finds, some properties in my area that I would like to preview.

The only waterfront home under $200,000 in Mathews County is one of my colleague's listing, in Horn Harbor, it is called Horn Harbor Retreat, it is a mobile home on a foundation, a three bedroom 2 bath on almost an acre on Horn Harbor off Chesapeake Bay. It is very private, very secluded, it has a nice backyard, a dock that needs some TLC, a deck and an above ground pool that is going to be taken down. It is currently listed at $195,000. It is located in South Mathews, in the Onemo/Port Haywood area. It would be ideal for a weekend reterat or as a starter home for a first time home buyer.

In an earlier post I mentioned the areas I would like to specialize in, and I would like to add relocation to that least, and also, in the beginning, I think it would be a good idea to start as a buyer's agent, so, buyers, call me up! There are plenty of affordable homes in beautiful Mathews, VA! The New Point area is so serene, so close to the Chesapeake Bay, boat landings, marinas, public beaches, campground... On the other side of the county you have Hallieford, where you have deeper creeks, surrounded by nature and also very private.

Mathews is close enough to commute to Richmond, Newport News, Hampton, Gloucester, Williamsburg, Tappahannocl & Kilmarnock, but at the same time you can enjoy it's small town feel.

How do we get to the outside blog? Which direction is the door to the outside?
