Now I will say up front I have not digged into goodgames.lol farther than going to https://www.coingecko.com and typing in goodgames to see what came up, the only thing that came up was an nft collection
MetaZoo Games Tokens (MZGT)
And a token
Good Games Guild (GGG)
which is on a different chain and is not related from any stories in the news about an airdrop if there were millions of coins being airdro it would have a story as there are many crypto sites that write about whats going on in the world of crytpo https://bscscan.com/token/0xd8047afecb86e44eff3add991b9f063ed4ca716b
You can expect their https://coinmarketcap.com to have the coin if your still unsure, which in this case there was no such coin so unfortunately for me those millions of coins drop to me are not trading for anything on any open exchanges.
So the question would come to mind number one why would someone do this?
First I would say we can say that about many things people do on a day to day basis but if there were some reasons off the top of my head
1. They want to promote their coin holdings with a similar name to get exposure of people that might pick up the related name coin. This transaction for example went to 2500 addresses for 19 cents since its on layer 2 Ethereum which is a much low cost per transaction.
2. They may have written code into the smart contract of this coin so that when you interact with it you will have your coins drained from your wallet.
3. This one is on polygon formerly known as Matic so this is not likely something dropped from a miner as that has normally come from some Ethereum miners (with much higher gas fees currently) who have dropped coins so that you would try to interact with the coin if you tried to sell it to swap for another coin on an exchange that would cost you gas and guess who would benefit from those attempted swaps that failed since they are not really worth any value, you guessed it the miners.
P.S. If your wallet says that the coins are worth x amount of dollars still verify everything before you attempt to swap them as some who create the contracts have found ways to error the wallet dollar value in an even further attempt to get people to swap to use up gas fees aka gwei.
