Prospect CT Pumpkin Festival Oct 15, 2022
It's time again for the Prospect CT Pumpkin Festival, 18 version. Saturday October 15, from 4-8 PM on the Town Green.
Again, this year, the town will sponsor a challenge for the elementary school children to decorate a pumpkin to be judged for style and originality.
To highlight the challenge there is an all-afternoon day party on the center green with all manner of activities.
- There will be music for the ears,
- a competition for rolling hay balls, with $500 in prize Money,
- A maze made from burlap fencing
- and the rows upon rows of judged pumpkins
There may even be Dancin' in the streets, blocked off of course.
There will be a parade of decorated vehicles, a Haunted House, hayrides, a costume parade, and a good time for all.
In the event of rain, the festival will be held on Sunday October 18.
